GET CREATIVE WITH KALE

Hey Guys,

Its been requested I write a post on my Kale salad recipe. I actually have a few different ways of making it- so here goes!

Before we start I just wanna let you know how healthy kale is and how yes, it is bitter at times but when you know how to make it right it can be your go-to side dish or snack.

1. Wash the kale really well. I would suggest you soak it up in a bowl first just to remove all the dirt in between all the crevasses.

2. Chop it up into small pieces. Make sure to remove most of the stems for that's what makes the kale bitter.

Now you have two options for dressing and toppings:

SWEET KALE SALAD

1. A table spoon of mixed berry all natural jam
2. A teaspoon of rice vinegar
3. A teaspoon of olive oil
4. Sprinkle salt, pepper, paprika and lots of cumin! (adds a delicious taste)

OPTIONAL

Cut up purple grapes in half and toss them in. Cut up rectangular thin slices of cheddar. Scoop out an avocado and mix it up in there for a healthy creamy taste. Toss in some thinly sliced almonds for decor.

SALTY KALE SALAD

1. A tablespoon of mayo
2. Lemon juice, salt and pepper
3. Relish for a pickled sour taste

OPTIONAL

Throw in some thinly sliced purple onion. Throw in some almonds, walnuts or any seed. Anything crunchy would be pretty good in this salad! Add baby tomatoes for some juicy sweet flavor.

TIPS:
You can totally play around with kale. These were just my two examples but I really just throw in whatever I'm in the mood for that day. Sweet potatoes, feta, pomegranate seeds, fresh figs, soy beans, quinoa, mangoes- Really just Anything. it's all about getting creative đŸ˜‰
