MY BASIC HEALTH TIPS

Hey Guys, 

As some of you know, I'm a Libra. That means I try to be as balanced as possible IN EVERYTHING. Let me tell you that has saved me from a lot of physical, emotional, and mental damage, which I will hopefully get to at some point in my posts. But for now I want to focus on the importance of a balanced diet and how it can affect you throughout your day, week, and pretty much change your entire lifestyle.



First off, what you put into your body is what you will get out. Eat good, look good, feel good, OR eat crap, look like crap, feel like crap. Its really that simple. All we need is a reminder. 



Second, I know a lot of people ignore this meal but its the most important one of the day! Eat Breakfast. After a long night of sleep (or short) your body was busy breaking down enzymes and working your metabolism, and therefore is ready to keep that cycle going for the day. According to Maimonides, Breakfast is the most crucial meal of the day and should be the one where you eat the most. Can't eat bread cuz it makes you fat? Eat it in the morning, the carbs will provide you with enough energy for half the day. Don't eat too much bread or else you'll fall asleep. Its all about balance. Start eating breakfast, you will feel a lot more energized and quick to resolve solutions in the early morn. 




Third, portion control. Eat what you want when you want but hello there portion control! America needs a bit more of that. It may seem obvious but Ill say it anyways: eat more of the healthy and less of the junk. Don't over stuff yourself, because instead of giving you energy it will do the exact opposite. Maimonides suggests being one third full when ending a meal. Lets be real today, people call that starving, so you be your own judge. 



Fourth, it's OK to listen to your cravings, just don't reply! Just joking, you must take care of them or else you will keep on eating other things and eventually end up eating that craving at the wrong time (aka when you're already full or before bedtime).

Fifth, eat during the day but not before bedtime. Eating right before bedtime is actually what causes weight gain. Of course eat if you're hungry, but no munching that late. It ain't the best for ya! 



And last but not least, drink water. It helps your immune and metabolic system. It helps with digestion and blood flow. Also helps clear out your skin leaving it with a healthy glow, Stay hydrated!
